Community Guidelines

Ajako Taja is a place for informed conversation about trending news and global events. These guidelines exist to keep that conversation respectful, honest, and worth having.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Welcome to Our Community

Ajako Taja brings together curious people from around the world to engage with trending news and AI-curated stories. Good conversations start with mutual respect and good faith — and that's all we're asking for here.

These guidelines apply to all interactive features of Ajako Taja, including comments, user submissions, and any future community features. By participating, you also agree to our Terms & Conditions.

2. Core Principles

Everything we ask of you in these guidelines comes down to four things:

Be respectful

Disagree with ideas, not people. Debate is healthy — personal attacks, insults, and contempt are not. Treat others the way you'd want to be treated in a thoughtful public conversation.

Be honest

Share what you actually know and believe. Acknowledge uncertainty when you have it. Correct yourself when you're wrong. Don't pass on things you know to be false.

Be constructive

Add something real to the conversation. Ask questions, share context, offer perspective. Comments that exist purely to provoke or derail aren't welcome.

Keep AI in mind

Some of what you're reading was written by an AI. If something seems wrong, help us improve it — flag inaccuracies rather than spreading them further.

3. Acceptable Behavior

We genuinely welcome:

  • Thoughtful comments that add context, nuance, or local knowledge to a story.
  • Respectful disagreement with other commenters, with reasons cited where possible.
  • Sharing related information or personal experience relevant to the topic.
  • Asking questions or flagging inaccuracies you've spotted.
  • Reporting content that violates these guidelines.
  • Constructive feedback about platform features or content quality.

4. Prohibited Content

The following content will be removed from Ajako Taja:

Hate speech & discrimination

  • Content that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or similar characteristics.
  • Slurs, hate symbols, or content designed to incite discrimination.

Harassment & threats

  • Targeted harassment — repeated unwanted contact, pile-ons, or coordinated attacks on individuals.
  • Explicit or implied threats of violence against any person or group.
  • Doxxing — publishing someone's private information without their consent.

Harmful and illegal content

  • Content that facilitates illegal activity.
  • Child sexual abuse material or any sexualized content involving minors.
  • Content designed to facilitate real-world violence.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery.

Intellectual property

  • Reproducing copyrighted content in full without permission.
  • Impersonating journalists, public figures, or other users.
  • Falsely claiming affiliation with organizations.

5. Spam & Self-Promotion

We get it — people want to share their work. But to keep discussions worth reading, the following aren't allowed:

  • Repetitive or copy-pasted comments across multiple articles.
  • Unsolicited promotional content, affiliate links, or advertisements.
  • Coordinated posting designed to artificially boost content (brigading).
  • Bot-generated or automated comments.
  • Irrelevant links designed to drive traffic away from the platform.

Sharing your own relevant, clearly disclosed work occasionally is generally fine. When in doubt, disclose your affiliation.

6. Misinformation Policy

We're a news platform. Accuracy matters. The following aren't permitted:

  • Deliberately sharing false information designed to mislead readers.
  • Spreading disinformation about health, elections, public safety, or scientific consensus.
  • Presenting debunked conspiracy theories as fact.
  • Presenting satirical or fictional content as real news.
  • Manipulated media — deepfakes or altered images — presented as authentic.

We recognize that the line between misinformation and genuine disagreement isn't always clear. Our team applies these standards with context and proportionality. Opinion and satire are permitted when clearly labeled.

7. Abusive Content

We will remove content designed to harm individuals or erode the quality of conversation, including:

  • Comments whose main purpose is to cause emotional distress to another user.
  • Sexual content posted in non-consenting contexts.
  • Content that glorifies or encourages self-harm or suicide.
  • Graphic violence shared for shock value rather than legitimate news context.
  • Coordinated abuse targeting specific individuals.

If you encounter something distressing, please use the report tools described below. If you are personally in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

8. Content Moderation

We're a small team, so we use a combination of automated tools and human review to moderate content:

Automated moderation

AI-powered tools scan new comments for obvious violations — hate speech, spam, explicit content — before or shortly after publication. Flagged content may be held pending review or automatically removed.

Human review

Reported content is reviewed by our team. We prioritize by severity. Complex cases — context-dependent speech, satire, political commentary — are handled by people, not automated systems.

Moderation decisions

Decisions are made in good faith. We may remove borderline content. We don't guarantee removal speed or review of every flagged item. We don't moderate based on political viewpoint or personal preferences.

9. Reporting Violations

Spotted something that breaks these guidelines?

  • Use the report button on comments or articles where it's available.
  • Email contact@guidedlab.com with the URL and a brief description.
  • Don't engage with or retaliate against the person — report and disengage.

Reports are confidential. Filing false reports to target someone is itself a violation of these guidelines and may result in action against the reporter.

10. Consequences

Violations may lead to the following, applied based on severity and context:

  • Content removal — the violating comment or post is taken down.
  • Warning — a notification that your content violated our guidelines.
  • Temporary restriction — limited ability to comment for a set period.
  • Account suspension — temporary loss of access to interactive features.
  • Permanent ban — for repeated or severe violations.
  • Referral to authorities — for credible threats, illegal activity, or child safety.

We try to be proportionate. First-time violations with clear intent to improve are treated more leniently than repeated or deliberate abuse.
